It’s that time of year again – getting ready for the 8th annual Homebrew Extravaganza held during Baltimore Beer Week at Little Havana. It will be Wednesday, October 18th from 6-9pm. As in years past, homebrewers will arrive around 5pm to set up and try the other beers before the general public comes in. People will try your beer, vote for their top 2 favorites using chips and winners will be announced by 9pm. Entry is $10 for everyone except homebrewers bringing beer – you get in for free of course. Proceeds will again go to BARCS to help them continue their good work! There will be prizes for the top brewers (should be for the top 10, but the exact number TBD) and there is space for 40 brewers. Please let me know if you are interested in participating (email [email protected]) – you don’t need to know the exact beer until a few days before the event, but get to thinking. This is a hedonistic competition, so just make a beer that people will like and don’t worry so much about style for this one – get creative!
