VIRTUAL BOLLYWOOD ANTAKSHARI
July 12th at 4pm

MUST REGISTER TO GET THE DETAILS

Encore performance! Our last Antakshari was so loved by everyone that we had to schedule another one! Some of you faced technical glitches and we sincerely apologize for that. We hope you can join us this time.

It’s been a long few months, but social distancing doesn’t have to mean social isolation. Grab a cup of Chai and your laptop and take a short break to connect with fellow Desis. Sing your favorite Bollywood songs… and forget the blues in these challenging times.

ONLINE EVENT ON ZOOM – Download Zoom and familiarize yourself with it so you can join us without any hiccups. Please do so ASAP – we are looking forward to a fun evening with you.

Antakshari = Anta (Ending) + Akshar (letter) means ‘the game of the ending letter’ of any song. The game starts with the song‘ “Baithe baithe kya karein, karna hai kuch kaam. Shuru karo Antakshari, lekar hari ka naam.’”

The Antakshari string starts with the letter ‘M’.

Join us for an hour of reminiscing, rejoicing, and regaling one other with our collective consciousness. Register to get the login details at https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZYpdu6grzktG9eX761KJOsYlpaUhhwnkWNT

THE RULES

We will have 2 teams – DEEWANE & MASTANE.
First names that start from A-M will be in TEAM DEEWANE, the rest will be in TEAM MASTANE. So if your name is Anjali, you are in Team Deewane, if your name is Sheela, you are in Team Mastane.

Each team will sing in turns. Everyone else will mute themselves. Feel free to sing along in your own home while on mute.

Learn how to mute/unmute yourself.

You will have 15 seconds to start singing with the letter assigned

Only Bollywood songs, any other type of song will lose a point

In the interest of time please sing only a couple of lines, not the whole song. Maximum 2 minutes long – just the ‘mukhda’/chorus.

There are no prizes – even though this is a game, we are not competing with each other.

See you all then! Don’t be late! We will start promptly at 4pm!

PLEASE REGISTER ASAP TO GET THE LINK!
