Virtual – Advance Registration

On September 25, 2020, Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) is hosting its popular derby-themed Hats & Horses event virtually. Guests are encouraged to dress in their derby-best or whatever makes them comfortable for an evening of raising funds for and in celebration of the expansion of Kennedy Krieger’s International Center for Spinal Cord Injury.

Typically an exclusive $250 event, this year’s fundraiser will take place at 7 p.m. and is open for all to participate, free of charge. Emmy award-winning WBFF-TV anchor and reporter Mary Bubala will emcee the event and usher through the evening’s activities. Guests can expect powerful storytelling, compelling moments of hope, mixology lessons and friendly competition from the comfort of their own home— all to benefit an important cause.

Held annually, Hats & Horses is WIN’s largest fundraising event, and brings much-needed resources to vital programs at Kennedy Krieger. This year’s event will support the expansion of the Institute’s International Center for Spinal Cord Injury through the purchase of a G-EO System™, a sophisticated robotic device that simulates the experience of walking for people experiencing paralysis, offering them opportunities for movement and providing them with profound therapeutic benefits.

All are welcome and encouraged to sport their fanciest hats and bow ties in honor of the patients impacted by Kennedy Krieger’s International Center for Spinal Cord Injury.
