The Listening Lab is an orchestra education program that teaches students listening strategies drawn from mindfulness techniques and research in music cognition, through a series of classroom sessions and concerts.

Join us on Wednesday, May 31, for a launch party to raise funds for this exciting program! You can enjoy wine and refreshments while getting a musical “crash course” in The Listening Lab. BCO Education Conductor Rebecca Smithorn will teach some unique listening strategies, which you can try out on live performances from the BCO String Quartet.

Doors open at 5:30. Musical program begins at 6:00. While this program isn’t specifically for children, families are welcome to attend.

Our goal is to raise $1,500 to help bring this program to  schools in the Patterson Park and Highlandtown neighborhoods in fall of 2017. If you can’t attend, please consider giving! To donate, click “Tickets” and select “Additional Donation.” No ticket purchase required to donate.
