Quicksilver, praised for “impeccable, soulful playing” (The New York Times), performs the program Violini a due: A European Journey. In the world premiere of a performance pre-recorded at New York’s DiMenna Center for Classical Music, Quicksilver’s journey explores sublime and dramatic works spanning the 17th century, from the birth of the virtuoso violin in northern Italy through its rich development in the courts of Germany, and including extraordinary sonatas by Castello, Rosenmüller, Legrenzi, and Fontana.
