A Birthday To Remember (August 13, 2016) A big birthday deserves a big celebration! So, the AFRO-American Newspapers kicked off a year full of events honoring its 125th anniversary in August 2017 with a reception at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African-American History & Culture. Folks gathered from around Maryland, DC and Baltimore to fete the famed publication.
