3rd Annual For Our Kids

The huge turnout for the annual fundraiser for Weekend Backpacks for Homeless Kids could be seen as a reflection of what’s happened to the nonprofit itself, which started in 2015 with founder Sandie Nagel packing 18 backpacks with food on her dining room table to almost 200 people now packing and delivering more than 500 backpacks filled with food to kids in 21 Baltimore city schools each week.

Accordingly, there were at least 500 supporters jammed into Woodholme Country Club to celebrate the organization and raise $250,000 for the cause.
