Street Style: Flights of Fancy

By Sascha Wolhandler

If you were looking for creative fashion trends, you had to look no further than the annual American Craft Council Show held at the end of every February at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Dazzling jewels…style refined and opulent…and bold colors all brought excitement and modern twists to classic designs.

Plaid, checked, tapestry and sequined boots took mundane footwear to the next level.

Stylish eyewear is having its moment. I spotted some heart shaped glasses that would make Elton John swoon.

If that weren’t enough, topping it all off – HATS!!! They made fascination an art form.

Fun, fanciful fashion took flight!

Plaid meets leopard meets leather. Alexandra rocks it.
Kira raises style and comfort to the next level.
Amy mixes it up…
…and let’s talk boots!
Baltimore-based jewelry designer Rebecca Myers is kickin’ it in plaid booties…giving prepster style plenty of punch.
Lucie musters up some military magic.
Fun meets fashion with Karen.
Christy adds to chic basic black with accent earrings and necklace.
Karyn puts the “fascinating” in fascinator.
And that’s how we roll in Baltimore, folks. That’s how we roll!
