Super Hero Quarantine Dance Party

A big success – and lots of fun – for the Ulman Foundation, as DJ Kopec threw a virtual dance party fundraiser for the nonprofit.

After COVID-19 social distancing orders went into effect, the popular deejay turned his Ellicott City basement into an audio booth, and started throwing Facebook Live dance parties benefiting local causes.

On April 18, 2020, the Ulman Foundation was the lucky recipient of the fundraiser where folks could donate to Ulman as they enjoyed the party.
Partygoers were also encouraged to get into costume following the party’s superhero theme, with the stage set by Kopec’s own family.
Needless to say, lots of the evening’s audience got into the act!
Kopec also invited listeners to honor the superheroes in their lives who have been impacted by cancer, and donate in their name to the Ulman Foundation.

One of the evening’s highlights?

As of April 21, Facebook statistics include: 225,000 views; 401,394 people reached; 128,484 engagements; 7,800 comments; 2,200 shares; and 7,200 reactions…and more than $106,000 raised!
