Registration $30

This is a one mile, point-to-point course through Historic Fort McHenry Park. The course is generally flat and features spectacular views of the Baltimore Harbor. This is a the only 1 mile race offered in Baltimore City and a USATF certified course.

Awards: Each participant will receive a medal for finishing. Top three males and females overall; Top male and female following age groups: 10 and under; 11-15; 16-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; & 70+; Top three Clydesdales (200lbs+); Top three Athenas (170lbs+) and Top three finishers in the walk will receive an additional award.

Registration: Registration for the race is $25 through May 31, and increases to $30 until June 28th. Race Day registration is $35. Additional forms available at www.urbanchildren.org/onemiler/html. Race day registration will be available at the parking lot outside of the Fort.

Event Parking: Limited Parking will be available just outside the Fort from 6 a.m. to noon. Carpooling is encouraged or use of public transportation.

Historic Fort McHenry: Fort McHenry is the sight that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the poem which became known as the Star Spangled Banner during the Battle of Baltimore against British troops back in September 13-14, 1814. Admission into the Fort is FREE for 15 year old and younger and $10 for anyone 16 and older. Fort McHenry opens at 9 a.m.
