The Baltimore Architecture Foundation is launching our summer Open House series with a 60th Anniversary Celebration of One Charles Center, a landmark building designed by world renowned architect Mies van der Rohe.
Come tour our new headquarters, winner of the 2021 Wavemaker Award from the Urban Land Institute’s Baltimore Chapter, and celebrate the 60th Anniversary of One Charles Center. Designed by world-renowned architect Mies van der Rohe, this modern office tower was the flagship building in Baltimore’s urban renewal movement when constructed in 1962. Learn a little of the significance of this National Register of Historic Places building while enjoying refreshments and co-mingling with other professionals and supporters of the Foundation between 5:30-7:30 pm.
This series will run from June through September. Enjoy the Center while networking with BAF Board members, local architects/designers and learning about some of the great architecture in City of Baltimore.
Special thanks to Quinn Evans Architects, the generous sponsor and presenter of this June event. We are looking for sponsors for July-September, sponsorships begin at $500, with 4 guest tickets.
If you are a Friend of the BAF at a Design Enthusiast level of support, please reach out to Margaret Stella Melikian about a complimentary ticket. She can be reached at [email protected].
