boardCONNECT brings together community-minded professionals seeking to join a nonprofit board with a diverse range of nonprofit organizations looking for board members. In this speed-dating style coordinated event, professionals and nonprofits engage in 10 minute conversations, rotating throughout the evening. The goal is to find matches in which a nonprofit and a professional express mutual interest and want to continue the conversation. Each boardCONNECT event results in dozens of successful matches and new board members around Central Maryland.

boardCONNECT event registration must be complete by 11:59pm, September 9th. The event ticket includes heavy hors d’oevres.

After completing this registration, you’ll be asked via email to complete an online individual interest assessment. The information collected will help our matching specialist ensure you meet with the right organizations. Information from your profile will be shared with the selected nonprofits before the event. This assessment is REQUIRED to participate in the event and is due by 11:59pm, Septmeber 9th.

All participants are STRONGLY encouraged to attend our Role of the Board Training – offered in August & November – in addition to navigating this online tutorial on board service. We will send you additional, recommended materials on the basics and fundamentals of board service.
