It’s 2020, and with great reverence and horror the Mobtown Ballroom staff is reflecting on how to start the decade with the things we like from today and the things we miss from yesterday. Today we aren’t starved for new recruits, but we want to bask in how good it feels to introduce friends to other friends, make new people feel welcome, and ease beginners into social dancing with as little terror as possible. That’s why on January 27th, week 3 of our Monday Lindy 1 series, we are inviting all of our regulars (of 10 years or 1 month) to come out early and jump into the last ten minutes of the Lindy 1 class. Brand new students will get a chance to dance what they’ve learned with people who have done it longer. Our regulars will get to meet the beginners, dance with them, hang out with them during the drop in, and enter the start of the dance with a whole batch of new friends. Whether you’re someone who has been looking for a way to be more involved, or someone who wants more friends to dance with, this is your chance!
