This year the Teaching Artist Institute celebrates our 3rd year Anniversary and will recognize the organization’s current and continued effort to connect US based arts and culture to stages around the world.  Directly impacting over 13,000 Artist, Teaching Artist, Community Developers, Art Cultural Administrators, Social Justice ARTivist, and Tastemakers across industry, TAI works diligently to connect art culture to sustainable development in emerging economies; especially on the continent of Africa.

This “Afro Chic” black-tie event, WAKANDA at EUBIE will feature colorful hors d’oeuvres, a farm to table dinner, live entertainment, silent auction, African face painting activities for all guest and a stunning exhibition of the Rufus T. Stevenson Tiefing Collection.

This year’s Life Time Achievement Awardee, TAI Elder and Curator Rufus T. Stevenson is being honored for both his commitment to implementing the Teaching Artist Institute’s mission as a TAI Elder and the stellar example his life’s work has been to the development of the TAI Vision, “Art as A Way of Life.”
