Is it Fall yet?

Is it Fall yet?

That’s what Tiffany Bates, Director of Professional Services at Capital Office Solutions, and I were asking each other when we caught up at” Rosé On The Roof.”

It’s hard to make the right choice of for your look and comfort when it’s still hot during the day and cold at night. Tiffany played it safe in black attire, cool shades, and a deep burgundy Revlon lipstick and chocolate liner, but left her skin and hair clean and summery.

Think that’s tough? Try planning the perfect early winter-themed wedding when it’s sweltering out. I met up with bride-to-be Courtney in her Waverly home to figure out a look that was a little retro, but not costume-y. We decided to use Nars “Cruella” Lipstick and “Macambo” shadow with 1950’s throwback tones, but a less matte, chalky texture to keep it modern.

Speaking of fall… Stacey Molli, Monica Benziger Starr, Beth Bolton, and Peggy Ricely are all “fall”-ing for their “Over-50 and Fab” photo shoot with Reva Silber, not looking a day over 49, with a little boost from the natural line Arbonne, their makeup of choice.

The secret seems to be the pink-toned – not tan – bronzer and the non-glittery highlighter in the right places from the Arbonne holiday palette that has already nearly sold out.

No, our next model, Lindsay Brigid, isn’t torn between summer and fall. She braved up to the challenge of a half face of makeup for my Kevyn Aucoin demo at “Beauty From the Inside Out” seminar in Zen Life Yoga Kenilworth. She’s featuring “Sensual Skin Enhancer Number 2” and “Celestial Powder Foundation Number 2” with “Capri” bronzer and highlighter, warm brown brow pencil, “Black Diamond” eye gloss, navy pencil, Aucoin’s lengthening mascara, “Medium Nude” lip pencil, and “Rosette” gloss.

Finally…if you got into any trouble this summer at the beach with sun – or any kind of – damage, the makeup men are here to save the day! This fall, we’re doing a series of Saiontz & Kirk commercials for WMAR ABC2. Here stylist Gregory Dean, and I are helping Carl Saionitz get ready for his close-up.
