A New Season = New – or maybe not so new – Shoe Trends

Sliding into a new season as a continuing “not so new” shoe trend is – you guessed it – the slide. Coming back as the most searched for summer sandal, this easy slip-on is back! Once again, they are taking over every single outfit in the fall closet. For me, they are a go-to for work, secretly making it easy to give the feet a break to go barefoot under your desk. Shhh….don’t tell anyone!

Whoaaa #JackRogers – did you really make this season’s bootie waterproof? Hold on cowboy, for this is a necessity in our shoe closet for the winter season. In cognac and in black, this suede bootie will get us through any snowstorm, with a bit of #fashionsense, which we all know, is hard to find on a snowday!

It’s time to feel good about loafin’ around the office. With an LBD or pencil skirt, the classic Vaneli #loafer should be #1 on your list this shopping season. Find them in an array of colors and prints @TheShopsatKenilworth in Collections, located on the 2nd floor.

A fabulous pair of #flats creates a perfect combination of comfort and style. A good rule of thumb is to plan for maximum shoe exposure! They pair well with a skinny or straight leg jean. Be sure the hemline finishes at or below the ankle so you can see the shoe. They look great with just about any hemline of a skirt or dress too.

We can’t forget the beloved boot. The power of a classic black boot cannot go unnoticed. Shown here in a riding style, with a little wedge heel for some #addedlift – it polishes off the #NicandZoe Viking-inspired long vest quite nicely. Although allergic to horses, I just love an #equestrian look worn on an autumn afternoon. Courtesy of Collections @TheShopsatKenilworth

Speaking of autumn, #orange you glad the leaves are starting to finally turn and the temperatures are getting cooler? #Cashmere in a happy color makes a Monday feel like Friday! Pump up your day or date night with a #Poncho @TheShopsatKenilworth in Towson.
