Street Style: Heat Chic

By Sascha Wolhandler

And just like that, SHAZAM, it’s summer! Images of lemonade and vodka, of baseball and beaches, and languid walks by the harbor – all inspire creative fashion moments to Baltimore’s cityscape. Brilliant white, with architectural splashes of color, helps to ward off the hot sun. Be it cowboy boots combined with a summer flirty dress, Lucite heels to complement designer white jeans, a  classic jeans jacket over a pale pink strapless dress, or hats galore, folks are bringing a statement look.  Bold stripes and colorful florals – as well as a palette of pastels and sophisticated khaki – make this a hot Baltimore fashion moment. And did I mention nails? I saw some examples that would make Cardi B. swoon. Bring on your heat, Summer, a little sweat never deterred our Baltimore fashionistas.
